Selected at the Morton Arboretum and introduced by the Chicagoland Grows Program. Airy 2" white flowers followed by clusters of polished purple-black berries.

Multi-stemmed shrub is compact with excellent foliage and extra sweet edible fruit. Tolerates alkaline soil.

Beautiful cylindrical panicles of pinkish-white flowers with red anthers form in June and July. Lovely as a specimen or for massing. Spreads by suckers. Pruning unnecessary.

Foliage is very dense and does not require pruning. Evergreen; nice in winter containers.
